Pakistani PM fulfills wish of teenager battling cancer

Karachi, Feb 27 (ANI): Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday met a terminally ill cancer patient Anwarullah Khan Afridi, a student at the Army Public School in Karachi, to fulfill his most-cherished wish to meet the PM. The meeting took place at the behest of Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan, which is an affiliate of the Make-A-Wish Foundation (MAWF), a non-profit organisation founded in the United States dedicated to granting wishes of the terminally ill children.

Sharif, who is on a day-long visit to Karachi, met Afridi and his father in the Governor's house. Sharif said turning illness into complete recovery is not difficult for God.

He added that he will pray that Allah grants him good health. He further spoke to Afridi about his studies and his hobbies, before turning to the boy and asking that tell him something which he can do for him? Meanwhile, Afridi said his wish has come true.

He further stated that PM Nawaz Sharif is his favourite leader.
