Paraplegic Rehabilitation centre gives soldiers second chance at life

Pune, Dec 29 (ANI): A Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre in Pune is providing a second chance at life to soldiers, who got critically wounded while serving the nation. The institute symbolises the effort of the Army to mitigate the sufferings of gallant soldiers, who are paralysed due to spinal cord injuries or have other paraplegic injuries.

Soldiers exercise and work in workshops to keep themselves busy. Some indulge in painting while others play basketball to keep negative vibes at bay.

Hundreds of soldiers lose their life, while fighting on the battlefield. The Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, inaugurated in 1974, aims to help ex-servicemen become self reliant.
