Police recover 69 detonators from near Jhabua blast site

Jhabua/ Jabalpur, Sep 14 (ANI): Police recovered 69 detonators from near the site where at least 89 people were killed and over 130 injured in a major explosion in Madhya Pradesh. A series of explosions ripped through a restaurant in Jhabua district on Saturday morning as labourers and children ate their breakfast, destroying the diner and nearby buildings and sending debris hurtling into the street where travellers queued for buses in the morning rush hour.

Police recovered the detonators from the residence of a local businessman, Rajendra Kaswa. Police is in the lookout for Kaswa for illegally storing gelatin sticks and other explosives next to a restaurant and busy junction in the town of Petlawad, officials said.

He also faces charges of criminal negligence and culpable homicide. State Home Minister Babulal Gaur who visited the blast site earlier, said that condition of 38 of those injured were serious.
