Politicos condemn statue vandalisation incidents

New Delhi, Mar 08 (ANI): Repeated incidents of statue vandalisation of national leaders have shaken the entire nation. Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi condemned the row, saying there is no space for violence in the country.

Responding on the recurring incidents, Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference patron, Farooq Abdullah, said such incidents are challenge for a nation. In the recent update, a statue of Mahatma Gandhi was damaged by unknown people in Thaliparamba area of Kannur today.

Earlier, statues of Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Dravidian idol Periyar were also vandalised in similar incidents.
