Press Club distances itself from Afzal Guru event

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): The Press Club of India on Friday distanced itself from an event in their premises in which anti-India slogans were raised during a commemorative meeting held to mourn the hanging of 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Press Club Chairman Rahul Jalali said the club had nothing to do with the organisers.

He added that the booking was done by a senior member for a conference. He further said that as soon as they got information about the incident they asked the people to get out of the club.

They lodged police complaint against the one who booked it.
