Rail tank wagon introduced in Tripura to end fuel crisis

Agartala (Tripura), 6 Mar (ANI): The northeastern state of Tripura was once reeling under huge crisis of fuel as supply from the neighboring states stopped due to dilapidated condition of roads and highways. Normal life was highly affected as people were compelled to stand in long queues for their turn to fill petrol outside filling stations. To bring an end to the decade long fuel crisis and black marketing in the state of Tripura, the newly formed government under the leadership of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb recently flagged off the first train with rail tank wagon unloading facilities at Indian Oil, POL depot at Dharamnagar in Agartala.

The introduction of the rail tank wagon in the broad-gauge railway will bring a paradigm shift in the availability of the right amount of petrol and diesel in the state depots.
