Reactions pour in after J and K High Court orders CBI probe into multi-crore JKCA scam

Srinagar, Sep 03 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Thursday after Jammu and Kashmir High Court ordered a CBI probe into the multi-crore Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scam. The court's order came after a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed by two cricket players in which former J and K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah is one of the respondents.

A time frame for the probe has been set by the division bench comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice B L Bhat and CBI has been directed to complete the probe within six months. The investigation so far has revealed that some members of the association have siphoned off more than rupees 40 crores meant for the "promotion of the game".
