Sabarimala row: Trupti Desai appeals devotees to hold peaceful protest

Pune (Maharashtra), Oct 17 (ANI): Gender equality activist Trupti Desai, on Wednesday appealed the devotees of Lord Ayyappa who are protesting against the apex court's verdict, allowing entry of women in the Sabarimala temple to protest peacefully. Trupti Desai said, "I appeal to all the women devotees of Lord Ayyappa to protest peacefully.

No violence should occur." Situation in Kerala is tensed as the gates of Sabarimala temple is set to open for women aged between 10 to 50 years for the first time. Today marks the first day in centuries that women are being allowed to enter the temple.
