Second BRICS summit aims at enhancing people-to-people contacts of members

Guwahati, July 03 (ANI): Amid much enthusiasm, the second BRICS Youth summit began in Guwahati on Friday which aims at enhanced people-to-people contacts of the members that include Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Today, a presentation of working session reports will be followed by finalization and adoption of the Guwahati BRICS Call to Action on Youth.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal lit the lamp and declared beginning of the three-day second BRICS Youth Summit, India 2016 earlier on July 1. The inaugural session witnessed addresses by BRICS members and finalized agenda to work out for the working sessions in the next two days, followed by cultural programme from India.

Over 50 foreign delegates, including ministers and head of executive authorities on youth affairs from BRICS nations, participated in the summit.
