Seminar on biodiversity, tourism held in summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug 03 (ANI): Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir (ATOAK) organized a seminar cum workshop on tourism and biodiversity in Srinagar on Wednesday. The seminar was organized with an aim to create awareness about the importance of biodiversity in adventure and recreational tourism trade.

Secretary Tourism and Floriculture Farooq Shah said it is the responsibility of the locals to preserve the environment. "We cannot blame the visitors for littering at the picnic spots," he added.

Several biologists, botanists, horticulturists, columnists, wildlife experts and eminent academicians participated in the programme.
