Spongy balls of sweet 'rosogolla' have a Bengali origin

Siliguri (West Bengal), Nov 15 (ANI): It was a sweet victory for West Bengal as the state has finally won the battle for the Geographical Indication tag for India's one of the most celebrated dessert, rosogolla, popularly called as rasgulla, leaving the other contender Odisha behind.

The spongy sweet, rasgulla has been at the centre of a long-drawn tussle between the states of Odisha and West Bengal.
