Students participate in race in Delhi on Children's Day amid toxic air quality

New Delhi, Nov 14 (ANI): On the occasion of Children's Day, a race for little ones was organised in the national capital on November 14. 'Run for Children' race was organised by an NGO 'Prayas'.

On November 13, The Supreme Court-mandated anti-pollution authority EPCA ordered closure of schools in the national capital and NCR for the next two days as pollution in the region as air quality is hovering close to emergency levels. Delhi government announced the closure of the school in Delhi on November 14-15, the NGO organised a race for the little ones in the toxic air quality.

The air these days is so toxic that the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) advised people to avoid outdoor exposure and work from home. 'Everyone should avoid all outdoor exertion,' warns US-EPA.

Health alert has also been issued.
