'Talgo' train runs on second trial

Mathura, July 09 (ANI): Second trial run for Spanish 'Talgo' train was conducted in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura city today. Locals gathered at the station to steal a look of the special train that is manufacted by Spanish firm Talgo and is capable of hitting a maximum speed of 200 kilometres per hour.

Besides reducing travel time, Talgo's lighter trains consume 30 per cent less energy which will help railways reduce their power bill. As per reports, the coaches of Talgo trains have seats set close to each other, like in planes, and just a normal luggage rack along the top side of the coach.

First trial was conducted on the Bareilly-Moradabad rail route on May 29.
