Telangana Governor inaugurates 65 beds at Gandhi Hospital's ICU

Hyderabad, Aug 11 (ANI): Telangana Governor E. S.

L. Narasimhan inaugurated around 65 beds at the ICU of Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad.

Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister for Health, C. Laxma Reddy and various other Ministers also participated in the inaugural ceremony.

The Governor also showed his appreciation to the Telangana government for developing Gandhi Hospital on par with corporate hospitals. Further stating he said that he brought to the notice of Chief Minister KCR about the lack of infrastructure in the hospital.

The ICU has central AC, oxygen supply and lighting and is built at a cost of about Rs. 5.5 crore.

Reportedly, the government is planning to expand ICUs of this class to all the districts of the state. According to Reddy, the electricity backup of the ICU is said to be much advanced than the back up in regular ICUs as its system functions effortlessly when the electricity goes off.
