This tribal village in West Bengal's Bankura is on verge of being parched

Bankura (West Bengal), May 11 (ANI): The Shuili Bona village in West Bengal's consisting of nearly 400 tribals is on the verge of being parched. So is the situation of different villages in Saltora block of Bankura district which goes to polls on May 12.

Quest for drinking water is unending for the residents of these villages. Acute water scarcity compels the villagers, mostly women to footslog up to four kilometers to fetch drinking water from the river.

Villagers also bath in the same river. This village like many others in the adjacent areas has bathrooms however no one uses it due to severe water shortage.
