Three FTII students begin hunger strike in Pune, demand resignation of Gajendra Chauhan

Pune, Sep 10 (ANI): Three FTII students began a hunger strike in Pune on Thursday demanding resignation of institute's chief Gajendra Chauhan. This major stance comes after Abhijit Das, a faculty member who had entered into a hunger strike on the Teachers' Day, fell ill and was forced to withdraw.

Meanwhile, the Central Government is hushed over the findings of the three-member committee appointed by the Information and Broadcasting (I and B) ministry into the troubles within FTII. Academic activity at the FTII is at a standstill with students being adamant over Chauhan's removal.
