Tibetans commemorate anniversary of Dalai Lama's Nobel Prize conferment

Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, Dec 11 (ANI): Hundreds of the exiled Tibetan community members thronged Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala on Saturday to observe the 'Human Rights Day.'During the event, celebrations were also held to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the conferment of Nobel Peace Prize on Tibetan spiritual leader The Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama, who has been living in India since fleeing Tibet, was honoured with the prestigious prize in 1989.

Tibetan Prime Minister-in-exile Lobsang Sangay, ministers and staff of the exiled parliament, monks and nuns were in attendance at the event held at the main Buddhist temple Tsuglakhang.
