TN farmers protest by partially burying themselves in sand demanding Cauvery Management Board

Tiruchirappalli (TN), Apr 06 (ANI): After protesting in national capital for several days, the Tamil Nadu famers on Friday staged their protest again by partially burying themselves in sand in Tiruchirappalli. The farmers demanded formation of Cauvery Management Board.

To draw government's attention over their protests, the farmers placed human bones on them. Last year, these farmers protested at Jantar Mantar by eating human excreta to attract the Centre's attention.

They were demanding loan waivers, revised drought packages, a Cauvery Management Committee, and fair prices for their products.
