To encourage self-defense, physical fitness, martial arts introduced in private school

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), July 22 (ANI): A private sports group named Ali Academy has introduced martial arts in a private school Shah Hamdan Educational Institute at Bemina in Srinagar. The group is providing martial arts training to both boys and girls.

The academy coach believes that the state government should make martial arts compulsory in schools as this can shift youth's attention from drugs to sports. Principal of the school said this will help students excel in both sports and academics.

The group is providing free training in martial arts games like Taekwondo, Judo, and Karate to encourage self-defense and physical fitness.
