Unnao rape case: Uma Bharti backs CM Adityanath, says state govt is taking necessary action

Jhansi (Madhya Pradesh), Apr 13 (ANI): Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti on Friday condemned the inhumane Kathua and Unnao rape incidents and said that the culprits should get stringent punishment. The Drinking Water and Sanitation minister backed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government by saying that the state government is doing its work properly.

Earlier, Bangarmau BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from his Lucknow residence. He was booked by the UP police on Thursday following nationwide furore over rape allegations levelled by a minor girl in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao.
