Village goes digital post demonetisation

Aurangabad, Dec 15 (ANI): A village in Aurangabad has become the first one to switch to cashless transactions in the province following demonetisation of high-value bank notes last month. Authorities at Bank of Maharashtra, a state-run bank, in Jadgaon village have linked the Aadhaar cards of villagers to their bank accounts, allowing them to make payment through it.

The government's sudden move has caused huge disruption to daily life, especially to the poor people. The Government's cap on withdrawal of the new currency have left many struggling to pay for basic goods like food.
