Watch: Pamban sea bridge paves way for giant container ship

Rameswaram (TN), Mar 09 (ANI): India's first and oldest sea bridge Pamban, which connects Rameswaram and Pambam Island with Indian mainland, was raised manually to let a giant container ship pass through it at ease. The Pamban sea bridge was commissioned in the year 1914.

It is the second longest sea bridge after Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The Indian Railways are vying for listing the bridge in UNESCO world heritage site.
