Women's entry into Sabarimala Temple should be enforced with military power if need be: Subramanian Swamy

Women's entry into Sabarimala Temple should be enforced with military power if need be: Subramanian Swamy

Patna(Bihar), Sep 28(ANI): New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran leader Subramanian Swamy on Friday praised Supreme Court's decision on Sabarimala temple. Congratulating country's women, he emphasised that Shastras are allowed to be amended over time and it is also a part of Shastra.

"Women's physique and bodily factions cannot be made to differentiate on the gender equality; article 14 doesn't take any such reasonable restrictions or unreasonable restrictions into account. So, the court has done a right thing." Swamy also asserted that SC's decision should be enforced with the military power if necessary.

The Supreme Court today ordered that women of all ages can enter the Sabarimala temple in Kerala. This decision also ends an age-old ban on the entry of women between 10 and 50 years.
