Vedanta group firm Hindustan Zinc on Wednesday said its mined metal production in the second quarter of this fiscal year rose by two per cent to 2,56,000 tonnes.
The company's mined metal output was 2,52,000 tonnes in the year-ago period, Hindustan Zinc said in a regulatory filing.
The refined metal production in the second quarter rose to 2,62,000 tonnes, over 2,41,000 tonnes in the year-ago period.
The refined zinc production at 1,98,000 tonnes was up seven per cent as compared to 2QFY24.
Refined lead production at 63,000 tonnes was up 12 per cent as compared to the second quarter of FY'24.
The saleable silver production at 5.9 moz (million ounces), was up two per cent year-on-year.
The wind power generation for 2QFY25 was 129 MU, down 18 per cent year-on-year, in line with wind velocity and seasonality impact.
Hindustan Zinc Ltd is the world's second-largest integrated zinc producer and the third-largest silver producer.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said India will further strengthen its fintech support to Bhutan as UPI and RuPay cards gain traction in the neighbouring nation.
During the bilateral meeting with her Bhutanese counterpart Lyonpo Lekey Dorji here, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman conveyed greetings to the King of Bhutan, the members of the Royal Family and to the people of Bhutan.
The Union Finance Minister acknowledged the support of Bhutan as a testament to the enduring partnership and shared commitment to growth and prosperity, the Finance Ministry said in a post on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meetings with the top leaders of Russia and Ukraine were "beginnings of a communication process" between two countries engaged in a serious conflict that has had enormous consequences, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Saturday.
In an interactive session at The Conclave 2024 organised by news channel Pratidin Time, Jaishankar said Prime Minister Modi was one of the very few world leaders who has the "ability" to speak to both the leaders, who "trust" him.
"What are we trying to do? You don't necessarily have to mediate... sometimes you have to communicate. We are actually, simultaneously talking to two countries who are having a conflict," he said to a question on India's role in "mediation" in the Ukraine conflict.
