For the first time, Apple is manufacturing the entire iPhone lineup, including the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, in India.
Apple plans to open four new stores in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai, in addition to its existing stores in Saket, Delhi, and BKC, Mumbai.
Apple began manufacturing iPhones in India in 2017. The iPhone 15 series was the first to be available on launch day, with production initially limited to base models.
No timeline has been confirmed for the launch of the new retail stores, but Apple’s growing presence reflects its commitment to the Indian market.
Apple employs over 3,000 people in India and opened a new 15-floor office in Bengaluru earlier this year, capable of housing 1,200 employees.
