The 1999 Odisha cyclone, one of the most destructive in the region, became a tropical depression in the Andaman Sea alongside the North Indian Ocean.
Odisha is still haunted by the aftermath of Cyclone Phailin 2013. It made into a cyclonic storm and moved into the Bay of Bengal, crossing the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
