  • Celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Motilal Nehru

    New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi with other leaders during a function to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Motilal Nehru in New Delhi on Tuesday.

    The Finance Minister Shri P. Chidambaram released the Commemorative Coins on the occasion. A Commemorative Stamp on Shri Motilal Nehru was also released by the Communications & IT Minister Shri Kapil Sibal during the Function. President Shri Pranab Mukherjee received the first set of coins and postal stamps released at the function.

    India's top archer Deepika Kumari came very close to winning the World Cup final before she went down to Olympic double gold medallist Bo Bae Ki to settle for a silver in the recurve women's individual event at Hibiya Park in Tokyo.

    New Delhi: BJP President Nitin Gadkari with senior leader Murli ManoharJoshi and Vijay Kumar Malhotra during a rally of unorganised workers organised by the party's Mazdoor Mahasangh at Ramlila Ground in New Delhi on Tuesday.

    The rally is organised to demand various facilities for workers of the unorganised sector and also to protest the FDI in multi-brand retail.The demands include fixed wage, housing, medical and education facilities for workers and their families involved in the unorganised sector.
