AgriStack

A digital platform to create authenticated databases on farmer demographics, land, crops, and livestock

Krishi Decision Support System

Integrates data on crops, soil, weather, and water to provide a geospatial system for better agricultural decision-making

Focus areas

Development of climate-resilient crop varieties to ensure food and nutritional security, modernising education to align with NEP 2020 and prepare future professionals

Concerns and challenges

Despite the new initiatives, there is a concern over declining expenditure on agricultural R&D. There’s a need for innovation and investment is critical

Holistic approach

The remaining schemes will enhance livestock and horticulture sectors for improvements in production, productivity, and income
