Two students from India have won the Singapore edition of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz and will participate in the international final to be held in India early next year.

Abhishek Kumar from Delhi and Nabil Rasheed from Chennai won the quiz contest which had 100 teams participating from different Singapore universities.

Abhishek and Nabil, both pursuing business studies at the Singapore Management University (SMU), won a prize of SGD 7000 ($541), a trophy each, and they will be doing an internship at one of the Tata Group of companies, Tata said in a statement.

Singaporean students Ivan Chang Weilong and Abbas Ali Mohamed Irshad, also from SMU, won the second prize of SGD 3000 ($231).

The quiz was conducted by India's Giri Balasubramanium, popularly known as "Pick Brain".

The quiz covered a wide range of subjects from business houses to brands, business history to people and products, business principles to the fundamentals of business economics and creation of wealth to architects of industries.

Tata has been hosting the Singapore quiz since 2007 in recognition of the city state's status as an international financial centre and an international education hub.
