Time magazine to publish special Jackson issue

As tributes from around the world pour in for Michael Jackson, Time Magazine has decided to publish a special commemorative issue to honour the late 'King of Pop'.

The issue will hit newstands on Monday and will contain interviews with John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Sheryl Crow, Tina Turner, Nancy Reagan, Lenny Kravitz and others speaking about the pop legend, reported People magazine online.

The Jackson issue is the first such commemorative special from Time since its 9/11 edition in 2001.

Jackson, one of the most successful but controversial figures in the history of pop music died aged 50 in Los Angeles on Thursday after a suspected cardiac arrest.

Millions of fans around the world including A-listers like Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce paid tribute to their idol and obeisance was paid to the star at the Glastonbury Festival.
