Accenture makes highest offers at Cluster 1 of IIM-A placements

The company has made 18 offers; A T Kearney, Bain & Co., Bank of America Merrill Lynch among other recruiters

The first cluster of the final placement process for the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)'s flagship post graduate programme (PGP) batch of 2016 saw Accenture Strategy making the highest number of offers at 18.

Cluster 1 of the final placements saw three cohorts comprising investment banking and markets; management consulting and private equity, venture capital and hedge funds.

Apart from Accenture Strategy, regular recruiters such as A T Kearney, Bain & Co., Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Oliver Wyman, The Boston Consulting Group and others visited IIM-A and made offers.

Unlike other B-schools, IIM-A spreads its placement process across clusters comprising sectoral cohorts. This year, the process has been tentatively spread across four clusters with the second cluster to be held on February 16.

While consulting firms, offering management consulting roles across geographies, continued to hire in large numbers, finance firms offered roles in investment banking, private equity, venture capital and capital markets across functions and geographies.
