Airlines drop fares in discount offers

Jet Airways joins AirAsia, Qatar Airways in offering low fares

Jet Airways is offering 25-30 per cent discount on its domestic and international network in a week long sale beginning on Thursday, the airline informed travel agents. The airline announced discounts on all three classes (economy, business and first) on international network and domestic economy and business class tickets respectively. The sale is on till December 31. The airline did not disclose booking validity in its notification to agents.

Jet joins low cost airline AirAsia and Qatar Airways which too are offering discounted tickets. AirAsia is selling on its domestic network from upwards of Rs 1390. AirAsia sale began on Monday and will run till January 4 and the discounts are on offer on both domestic and international routes.

Qatar Airways sale is on till December 31 and the airline is selling return economy tickets to Chicago and New York from Rs 51,000 onwards and London at Rs 41,500 onwards. Discounts are also available for tickets to Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris, Brussels and other cities.
