Touted to be the largest mixed used city centre in the city, Alpha G:Corp Development Private Limited's AlphaOne, Ahmedabad is likely to be launched by September.
Spread across an area of over 1.2 million square feet, the city centre will house some of the biggest brands in retail and entertainment in the country.
"The mixed-use development will comprise of retail, entertainment, and hospitality. Of these, retail cum entertainment alone will comprise of 720,000 sq. ft. We will unveil the city centre in September since retailers will be launching their fall collection during that time," said Prodipta Sen, vice president - marketing, corporate affairs and retail, Alpha G:Corp.
Located adjacent to Vastrapur Lake, the city centre has seen an initial investment of Rs 450 crore for phase one. According to Sen, the first phase of AlphaOne Ahmedabad will see an integrated mix of all categories like hypermarket, big-format retailing, departmental store, specialty dining, stand-alone boutiques, a 6-screen multiplex by Cinepolis, a premium hotel managed by Ista, and one of the largest food courts in the city.
Among brands, Hypercity will occupy the largest space of 140,000 sq ft.
"The retail development will also cater to daily shopping needs, varied cuisine, fine dining and entertainment. Over 80 per cent of AlphaOne, Ahmedabad is leased out to prominent brands such as Shoppers Stop, Hypercity, Cinepolis, Madura and Lifestyle," Sen added.
Talking about the city centre, Sen said, "The concept seeks to develop this landmark as a single destination city centre point for the entire city of Ahmedabad. Contrary to popular belief, consumers in Ahmedabad don't just seek value for money but also value for experience.
It is through the experience mode that AlphaOne, Ahmedabad would intend to become the most preferred destination in retail and entertainment.
The AlphaOne, Ahmedabad city centre has been designed and conceived by ARCOP architects firm.
