After Flipkart, e-commerce behemoth Amazon has announced its Great Indian Festive Sale from October 13-17, 2015. Flipkart is also starting its Big Billion Days sale from October 13 to 17.
Amazon has promised to offer buyers fantastic deals on PCs, tablets, mobile phones, clothing, home and kitchen and electronics.
According to Amazon press release, customers shopping on the app for over Rs 299 stand a chance win 1 kg gold every day.There would be one winner every day through the five days of the event. The winner will be chosen by a random draw of lots to answer a qualifying contest question which will enable the participant to win a chance to receive the prize.

Apart from that, there are hundreds of app-only deals on October 16 and 17 besides additional cash back from HDFC Bank.
Samir Kumar, Vice-President Category Management, Amazon India said: “We are very certain that the Great Indian Festive Season will be the biggest sale ever for India’s online shoppers. The basket size this year is going to increase significantly with customers buying at all price points, more number of items from not only the popular categories and sub categories like home & kitchen, electronics, fashion, beauty etc, but also gourmet, fine jewellery, health and personal care and fitness.
