Andhra Paper's Q1 net doubles

Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills Ltd (APPML), a vertically integrated pulp and papermaker producing a wide variety of papers and boards for the publishing and printing industries, has reported 97 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 16.17 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 8.21 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Total income of the company rose sharply to Rs 176.15 crore from Rs 139.04 crore in the period under consideration.
