Apollo Hospitals has posted a 45 per cent growth in its net profit after tax for the quarter-ended September in the current financial year. The net profit stands at Rs 49.55 crore for the July-September quarter this year as compared to Rs 34.06 crore, for the same period last year.
The total income of the company also increased by 29 per cent during the second quarter to Rs 586.40 crore, from Rs 456.06 crore last year.
After announcing the results, the stock gained Rs 3.4 or 0.65 per cent and was trading at Rs 528.80. The overall Sensex, too, was up 55.37 points or 0.27 per cent.
