The total income stood at Rs 1,380.52 crore during the quarter, as compared to Rs 1,182.53 crore registered during the corresponding quarter of previous year, an increase of 16.7 per cent.
The company said that it has plans to add and operationalise 495 beds by the end of FY16. Of these, 180 beds in North Bangalore and 250 in Vizag are to be commissioned, while 65 beds will be added to the company's existing facility at Indore.
The company reiterated its plans to invest around Rs 500 crore in retail healthcare and to invite private equity investors to participate in the expansion plans. The current portfolio of the retail healthcare business comprises 11 day surgery centres, seven Cradles (lifestyle birthing centres), 71 diagnostic centres and 68 clinics housed under the subsidiary Apollo Health 7 Lifestyle Ltd. Besides, under the extended network, the company has 72 dental clinics, 33 Sugar clinics and five dialysis centres.
