Bajaj Allianz launches extended warranty plan

This unique product is specifically for coustomers who have availed the company's 05 interest consumer durable finance

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance today launched an extended warranty plan for consumer durables. This plan will give the consumer protection against the appliance for 12 months after expiry of the manufacturer’s product warranty.

Launched in association with Bajaj Finserv Lending, this unique product is specifically for those customers who have availed the company’s zero percent interest consumer durable finance for purchasing durables of their choice. 

“Most of these appliances come with a 6 months to one-year manufacturer’s warranty. We have seen that customers often have to incur additional expenses in case any of the appliances fails after the warranty expires. However, with Bajaj Allianz Extended Warranty Policy, they can now avail another year of protection for their valuable appliances and that too, at an affordable price”, Alpana Singh, Head – Market Management & Bancassurance Bajaj Allianz General Insurance.

The cover kicks in after expiry of the manufacturer’s product warranty period and will be in force for the next 12 months. The sum insured of the policy shall be equal to the invoice price of the consumer durable or appliance. The premium for the policy depends on the category of the consumer durable appliance, such as television, refrigerator as well as the invoice price of the appliance.

The annual premium starts from Rs 350 onwards.
