British bank Barclays has appointed Ashwin Chadha as a director in wealth and investment management division in New Delhi.
Chadha joins the bank from Citi, where he was the country head for investment distribution, the bank said in a statement here today.
A Master's in finance, Chadha has has had stints in BNP Paribas, Credit Capital Asset Management Company and UTI, it said.
Barclays, which is facing a crisis due to the resignation of its top brass in Britain following a scandal wherein its executives are alleged to be have rigged the Libor rates, has been operating its wealth and investment management business in the country since 2008.
