Footwear and accessories maker Bata India today posted 46.81% increase in its net profit for the third quarter ended September 30, 2011 at Rs 30.42 crore, compared to the same period last fiscal.
For the quarter ended September 30, 2010, the company's net profit was Rs 20.72 crore, it said in a filing to the BSE.
Bata India's net sales jumped 26.80% to Rs 369.98 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal, as against Rs 291.78 crore during the three months ended September 30, 2010.
The company's scrips were trading at Rs 718.90 per share on the BSE, up 1.32% from the previous close.
