Berger Paints today said that it is planning to set up 300 exclusive franchisee in one year.
The company would set up such shops in the first phase in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat after test marketing in Tamil Nadu, Managing Director Subir Bose said.
He said the company aims to generate Rs 100 crore from the retail initiative.
Out of total sales of Rs 2000 crore, 80 per cent comes from retail sales.
The company is planning to enhance capacity by another 30-40 per cent from the current level of 50,000 litre tonne through various projects in the next two years, Bose said.
