Bharti Airtel Q1 net up 22% at Rs 2,648 cr

Bharti Airtel Q1 consolidated net grew 22.2% to Rs 2,647.95 crore for the quarter ended Jun 30, 2009, as against Rs 2,166.68 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income rose 22% to Rs 10,448.69 crore from Rs 8,567.80 crore.

Meanwhile, the stock opened up around 2% at Rs 840, and soon spurted to a high of Rs 856. The stock has pared gains and is now up 1.8% at Rs 838. The counter has seen trades of around 175,000 shares so far on the BSE.
