Bhushan Steel today reported a growth of 92.88 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended March 2010, at Rs 240.93 crore, over the same period in the last fiscal.
Net sales for the quarter ended March 2010 rose to Rs 1,608.74 crore, up 43.65 per cent, from Rs 1,119.87 crore in the same period last year, Bhushan Steel said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
For the year ended March 2010, the net profit of Bhushan Steel grew by 96.86 per cent to Rs 829.39 crore, from Rs 421.30 crore in the previous fiscal.
Shares of Bhushan Steel settled at Rs 1,560.50 on the BSE, down 3.04 per cent from the previous close.
