Blue Star to make strategic investment in Activecubes

The firm aim is to address the $13.8 billion business intelligence and analytics market

Software services and solutions provider Blue Star Infotech today said it has entered into definitive agreements with Activecubes Solutions India for a strategic alliance and investment in the firm's equity.

Blue Star, however, did not reveal the amount of investment that it is making.

Emerging technologies such as BI/ analytics and mobility are a key component of the company's strategic focus areas for growth in the near future and this alliance will enable Blue Star to strengthen its foothold in this space, Blue Star Infotech in a release said.

"This association will help our clients in not only deriving business efficiencies, but also revenue enhancement through custom offerings based on studying customer behaviour and market trends," Blue Star Infotech CEO & MD Sunil Bhatia said.

The firm aim is to address the $13.8 billion business intelligence and analytics market, he added.

Incepted in 2007, Activecubes is a global firm providing business intelligence and analytics services to clients across financial services, consumer packaged goods, retail, telecom and health care.

Both Blue Star Infotech and Activecubes have a strong presence in the US, with significant areas of synergy and leverage, Bhatia said.

Commenting on the agreement, Activecubes CEO Rajesh Varrier said this association with Blue Star Infotech will help the company in broadening its activity spectrum.

"Our clients will benefit from Blue Star Infotechs broad range of service offerings. Also, size of the overall team, access to knowledge pools and other resources would increase manifold," he added.

The partnership will enhance Blue Stars focus on product engineering, travel & hospitality and healthcare verticals and can be leveraged for cross-selling and up scaling.
