Closing date for MCF open offer extended to Oct 20

Extension taken in view of Maharashtra assembly polls, Deepak Fertilisers says in a filing to BSE

The open offer to the shareholders of Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers will close on October 20, 2014 instead of October 17, 2014. The extension of closing date for the open offer was taken in view of elections to the Maharashtra legislative assembly, Deepak Fertilisers said in a filing to BSE.

JM Financial Institutional Securities Ltd, manager to the offer, has issued a notice to this effect. As per the new schedule, the last date for communicating the rejection or acceptance and completion of payment or refund to shareholders will be on November 7, 2014 instead of November 5, 2014. The post-offer public announcement will be issued on November 14, 2014, the company said.

Deepak Fertilisers has increased its offer price to Rs 93.60 per share, while Vijay Mallya and Saroj Poddar combine has offered Rs 81.60 per share.
