Philips in black, Q4 net at Rs 38 crore

Philips India has posted a net profit of Rs 38.18 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 2002 as compared to a net loss of Rs 22.17 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Total income has increased to Rs 452.97 crore (Rs 449.70 crore). The company has posted a net profit of Rs 84.29 crore for the year ended December 2002 as compared to a net loss of Rs 21.15 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

BHEL third-quarter net edges up to Rs 81 crore

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has reported a marginal 1.47 per cent growth in third quarter net profit at Rs 81.3 crore. Net sales went up by 12.63 per cent to touch Rs 1,813.1 crore. Profit after tax for the nine month period ended December 2002 shot up 39 per cent at Rs 141 crore while net sales rose 0.90 per cent at Rs 4,204.7 crore.

Dabur Q3 bottom line rises 19.6% to Rs 26.72 cr

Dabur India has recorded a 19.6 per cent rise in net profit for the third quarter ended December 2002 at Rs 26.72 crore, as compared to Rs 22.3 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Turnover rose 9.9 per cent to Rs 351.35 crore (Rs 319.75 crore).

Morepen Q3 net declines 49.41per cent

Morepen Laboratories has reported a 49.41 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 9.06 crore in the quarter ending December 31, 2002 as against Rs 17.91 crore during the same period of the previous year.
