French 3D technology major Dassault Systèmes on Wednesday said it had entered into a partnership with Jaguar Land Rover to help the Tata Group-owned luxury car maker in the product development and lifecycle management process.
The agreement will see advanced digital three-dimensional (3D) simulation and development tools transform JLR’s product development processes.
“JLR will deploy Dassault Systèmes’ V6 solutions for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) — the process which drives and controls all vehicle creation processes — to increase operational efficiency and reduce complexity through enhanced innovation and accelerated development capabilities,” it said. The two companies will work together to jointly develop industry-leading product-creation solutions.
Development engineers will work on processes to provide combination of simplification and specialisation required to create new generations of premium vehicles.
