Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI), the operating agency of state-run Steel Authority of India Ltd, has appointed MN Dastur & Co to assess the technical details of the remodeling plan of the ailing Indian Iron and Steel Company (Iisco).
The Union cabinet has already approved a Rs 881 crore revival package for the ailing plant, for which a budgetary support of Rs 350 crore will be provided. The balance amount will be raised through issue of bonds.
MN Dastur is likely to take about four weeks to study the feasibility of the plan.
