Edelweiss Tokio Life appoints Muralidharan R as COO

To be responsible for Operations & Technology; to report directly to Deepak Mittal, CEO

Private life insurer Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance Company, has appointed Muralidharan R as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, he will be responsible for Operations and Technology and will report directly to Deepak Mittal, Chief Executive Officer, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance.

Deepak Mittal, CEO, Edelweiss Tokio Life said, "Muralidharan brings in knowledge and experience in Operations and Technology and a passion for Customer Experience Strategy that blends in with the company's commitment to customer centricity. We are thrilled to have him as part of our executive team and look forward to his many contributions."

Muralidharan comes with 27 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry across the corporate and retail divisions. He was earlier with COO of  Dhanlaxmi Bank. Prior to this he has worked with organizations like Brics Online, Brics Securities, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India.

At ICICI Bank, he was a part of the team that set up the bank in 1994 and has led the banks' global liability operations group in India and six other international geographies.
