Eicher Motors net up 38%

Driven by the sustained demand for its Royal Enfield bullets, Eicher Motors, the company that also manufactures commercial vehicles, on Tuesday reported a 38 per cent jump in net profit for the quarter ended June. The company follows a January-December accounting year. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 183.56 crore while net sales zoomed 47 per cent to Rs 1,092 crore. While the results were declared in the evening after close of trading hours at the BSE, the stock had touched a new high of Rs 21,618 earlier in the day.
